Back on Track - Again

It was 30 days ago today that I used the same title on my post. I thought I had recovered, but a quick run the next week to my car to avoid the rain, set me back. My knee had been hurting a lot during the past month. My exercise has been mostly limited to swimming. I was in California the week of the 9th through the 15th and was in horrible pain. When I finally figured out that heels were making things worse, I wore my Asics in spite of the fashion police. I might just have to get me a pair in black.
This morning I went to Oyster Creek Park for a leisurely walk. My knee started to ping at 1.5 miles, so I put a compression sleeve on it. I really wanted to do the whole 4.5 mile loop, but decided it was better to stop at 3 miles. I'm signed up for a Sprint Tri on 9-12, but it's not looking hopeful as I have not been on my bike since late June.

First Meet-up of Fort Bend Fit for the New Season

I walked 30 minutes on Friday. Saturday morning was the official start of the season for Fort Bend Fit. I met Jacque and Shelley at 6:45am. The route was 2 miles, but we added a little extra in. They were sweet to walk with me, as my knee was still hurting. They couldn't resist running it in the last 1/4 mile, but Shelley came back to greet me when I finished. What a friend!
